Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SeaTime Logbook (“SeaTime”) uses information when a user authorizes and uses the Google Sheets-based SeaTime application.
Information SeaTime accesses
SeaTime operates within the Google Sheets spreadsheet in which it is installed. The application may access and modify data in that spreadsheet so it can save shifts, calculate totals, update dashboards and reports, and maintain the logbook interface.
SeaTime also uses Google Apps Script permissions needed to create and run installable triggers and to display menus, prompts, dialogs, or other interface elements inside Google Sheets.
Google data SeaTime does not request
SeaTime is not designed to access Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or unrelated Google Sheets spreadsheets. Its spreadsheet authorization is limited to spreadsheets where the application is installed.
How user data is used
Information entered into SeaTime is used to provide the logbook's functions, including recording shifts, calculating hours, creating summaries, displaying dashboards, searching records, and producing reports.
Data sharing and sale
The SeaTime Apps Script does not transmit a user's shift-log data to the developer, and the developer does not sell SeaTime user data. SeaTime does not use Google user data for advertising.
Data storage
SeaTime logbook data is stored in the user's own Google Sheets file and is subject to the user's Google account and Google Drive/Sheets settings. Users control their own spreadsheet copies and may edit or delete their data through Google Sheets.
Website hosting
This public information website is hosted using GitHub Pages. Visiting the website may result in standard technical information being processed by the hosting provider according to GitHub's privacy practices. The SeaTime application itself does not use this website to receive shift-log data.
Security and access
SeaTime requests only the Google permissions needed for its spreadsheet-based functionality. Users should protect access to their Google accounts and SeaTime spreadsheets using Google's available security and sharing controls.
Revoking access
Users may review or revoke SeaTime's Google account authorization through their Google Account security and connected-app settings. Removing authorization may disable automated SeaTime functions until permission is granted again.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if SeaTime's functionality or data practices change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy or SeaTime's use of Google data may be directed to the developer through the support contact shown on SeaTime's Google authorization screen.
